To my cat rescuers ...

Last Monday at about 10 p.m. our doorbell rang, a sound so unfamiliar to us these days I momentarily wondered what it was; but there you were, a group of teens with my cat, Timbit.

You had found him stuck up in a tree, panting in evident distress. You managed to get some cat treats to coax him down. Then you tracked down where he lived and brought him home. After I brought him into the house he gave a look I can only describe as relief, then he stretched out unmoving on the couch for several hours.

I am blown away by your kindness and perseverance. You rescued my cat, but more than that you renewed my faith in the future. My only regret is not getting your names so that I could call your parents to let them know how wonderful you all are. Bless you.
