Can anyone help with TV costs?
I live in a retirement home in the city, where my monthly fee includes Cogeco cable rental. Recently, we were told that Cogeco is going to come and change our black TV boxes so we can add new channels.
It turned out that many channels that were available before now are blocked saying, “If you want it, you have to subscribe to it.” This requires payment. On stations I have watched before, I now have to pay.
This is infuriating. Why during a pandemic is a cable company trying to squeeze more money out of seniors in an assisted-living facility? Does the CRTC have any control?
