Lying headlines

Once again, The Spectator has lied with its headlines reporting news. The headline saying one third of public school students are not heterosexual was wrong. First, less that half of the students filled out the form.

Second, 13 per cent were listed as questioning, that does not mean they were not heterosexual. Leaving 22 per cent of the 50 per cent who answered the survey, identifying as not heterosexual. Many people only read the headlines, so The Spectator should take more care writing them.
