The Hamilton Spectator

DO YOU LOVE YOUR CITY ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR ITS FUTURE?

Change is coming to City Council. But Hamilton needs more than just different leaders.

After all the scandals, cover-ups, infighting, broken promises and disappointments, each one of us has a chance to change how Hamilton moves forward.

Almost half of the old Council aren’t running for reelection. A few more may be defeated at the ballot box.

Who replaces them is one of the most important decisions we’ll make as Hamiltonians.

It’s important because if we’re to become the city we can already imagine, we need leaders who share our vision and have the skills and the willingness to work together to achieve it.

That’s where each one of us who is able to cast a vote come in. This election will see more new faces around our Council table than ever before in our history. But we need more than just different leaders.

We also need better leaders. Leaders who listen. Leaders we can trust. Leaders who we can hold accountable.

That’s why it’s so important for all of us to vote for change on October 24, or by mail, or at an advanced poll on:

• October 7 - 10am to 8pm

• October 8 - 10am to 5pm

• October 14 - 10am to 8pm

• October 18 - 10am to 5pm

To help you make an informed decision on who you think is best, IELECT Hamilton has a website full of information about your ward your candidates, and the issues our city is facing.
